How does the BetOnline welcome offer work?

You don’t need a code. You open a new account and make your first-ever deposit of $10 or more. BetOnline then adds a free bet worth half of that deposit, up to $250. The free bet can only be used in the sportsbook. It has to go on odds of -200 or longer.

If the free bet wins, you get the winnings in cash. You don’t get the free bet amount back. Unused free bet credit disappears after 30 days. BetOnline says the offer is for players in North America, and it’s one per person, household and device.

The 100 free spins come as 10 spins a day for 10 days. Each day’s spins expire 24 hours after they arrive. Total winnings from the spins are capped at $100.

A worked example. Say you deposit $100. BetOnline adds a $50 free bet. You put it on a team at +100. If that bet wins, $50 goes to your cash balance. If it loses, you lose the free bet but keep your $100 deposit to bet with. The amounts are made up. The rules come from BetOnline’s own terms.

How do the MyBookie offers work?

MyBookie lists two sports welcome offers. You pick one. The first is a 100% match on your first crypto deposit, up to $1,000. The second is a “bet back.” If your first bet loses, MyBookie gives you back the stake as free play, up to $500. You also get 50 free spins. To get the bet back, you choose the offer, deposit, then opt in on the bet slip and tap “claim” on the pop-up.

Every MyBookie bonus comes with a rollover. That means you must bet a set amount before you can withdraw. MyBookie works it out as your deposit plus the bonus, times the rollover number. Its own example: deposit $100, get a $25 bonus with a 6x rollover, and you must bet $750 before you cash out. Casino, horse racing and Props Builder bets don’t count toward a sports bonus. MyBookie did not show the rollover number for each welcome offer on the pages we could read, so confirm it in your account when you claim.

Here’s my take. If you hate rollover, BetOnline’s free bet is the simpler deal. There’s no playthrough listed on the free bet, and the rules fit in a few lines. Just remember the free bet amount itself is not paid back.

MyBookie makes more sense if you plan to bet a lot anyway and want a bigger bonus. The crypto match goes up to $1,000.
