The Milwaukee Brewers are the World Series favorites at -175 at DraftKings, according to DraftKings Network on October 15, 2026, after they swept the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS. Only the AL champion is still unknown: the Guardians lead the Rays 2-1 in the ALCS. This page shows who is left, the latest prices from named sources, and the arithmetic behind them.
The Quick Version
- NLCS is over: the Brewers swept the Dodgers 4-0 and clinch their trip to the World Series (ESPN).
- ALCS: the Guardians lead the Rays 2-1 after a 3-2 win Thursday. Game 4 is Friday, Oct. 16, at Cleveland, 8 p.m. ET.
- World Series prices (DraftKings, Oct. 15 night): Brewers -175, Guardians +330, Rays +500.
- The fee: the three prices add up to 103.6%, not 100%. That extra 3.6 points is the sportsbook’s margin.
- Our take: we are not recommending a ticket. Laying -175 risks $175 to win $100, and the title price for the AL side depends on a series that is still open.
Who Is Still Alive in the 2026 MLB Playoffs?
Three teams are left. The Brewers are in the World Series after sweeping the Dodgers, per ESPN. Game 4 ended Brewers 6, Dodgers 4, and Milwaukee came back from a 4-0 deficit to win it. The Guardians and Rays are still playing in the ALCS.
| Series | Status | Next game |
|---|---|---|
| NLCS: Brewers vs. Dodgers | Brewers win 4-0 (Games: 2-1, 7-4, 6-2, 6-4) | Over. Brewers advance. |
| ALCS: Guardians vs. Rays | Cleveland leads 2-1 (G1: Guardians 7-3, G2: Rays 3-1, G3: Guardians 3-2) | Game 4 Friday, Oct. 16, 8 p.m. ET, at Cleveland |
Per the ESPN schedule, the remaining ALCS games are Game 5 on Saturday, Oct. 17, and, if needed, Game 6 on Monday and Game 7 on Tuesday at Tampa Bay, all at 8 p.m. ET. The World Series starts Friday, October 23, and the Brewers get the rest in the meantime. The Astros, Red Sox, Cubs and Phillies lost in the Wild Card Series, and the Padres, Yankees and White Sox lost in the division round.
What Are the World Series Odds Right Now?
DraftKings Network posted DraftKings opening World Series prices on the night of October 15, after the sweep: Brewers -175, Guardians +330 and Rays +500. We did not find a newer published board, so these are the numbers we use, and they will move after ALCS Game 4. “Profit on $100” is the winnings if the team wins the title. “Implied chance” is the price converted to a percentage. The Dodgers are out and no longer have a price.
| Team | Odds | Profit on $100 | Implied chance | Chance with fee removed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Milwaukee Brewers | -175 | $57.14 | 0.6% | 61.4% |
| Cleveland Guardians | +330 | $330 | 0.2% | 22.5% |
| Tampa Bay Rays | +500 | $500 | 0.2% | 16.1% |
Here is how the percentages work. For a plus price, implied chance = 100 / (odds + 100). The Rays at +500 are 100 / 600 = 16.7%. For a minus price, implied chance = odds / (odds + 100), ignoring the minus sign. The Brewers at -175 are 175 / 275 = 63.6%.

Add the three chances: 0.6% + 0.2% + 0.2% = 103.6%. Exactly one of these three teams will win, so a fair board would add up to 100%. The extra 3.6 points are the sportsbook’s margin. Dividing each chance by 103.6% removes it, which is the last column. The Brewers go from 0.6% to 61.4%. The hold on this three-team board is 3.6 / 103.6 = 3.4%, lower than the 7.3% hold on the four-team board we showed a day earlier, because there are fewer prices to pad.
What Do the Series Prices Say?
ESPN listed the ALCS price from DraftKings on the morning of October 16, before Game 4. The Guardians lead 2-1 and are the favorite to advance.
| Series | Team | Odds | Implied chance | Fee removed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ALCS | Guardians | -190 | 0.7% | 63.0% |
| ALCS | Rays | +160 | 0.4% | 37.0% |
The ALCS prices add up to 104.0% (0.7% + 0.4%), a hold of 3.8%. ESPN also listed Game 4 itself: Rays -112, Guardians -108. Rays -112 is 112 / 212 = 52.8% and Guardians -108 is 108 / 208 = 51.9%. Those add up to 104.8%. In plain terms, DraftKings treats tonight as a coin flip, about 50.4% Rays and 49.6% Guardians after the fee is removed, even though Cleveland is the home team.

What Do the Two Markets Say About the World Series?
Here is a rough cross-check using only the numbers above. The Guardians’ title chance with the fee removed is 22.5% and their ALCS chance is 63.0%. Dividing the first by the second, the market says Cleveland wins the World Series about 36% of the time when it gets there. For the Rays it is 16.1% / 37.0%, about 44%. Flip those around and the market is saying the Brewers beat Cleveland about 64% of the time and Tampa Bay about 56%.
Treat those numbers as a sanity check, not a forecast. The title prices were posted the night before the ALCS price, the two markets have different fees, and both rely on rounded American odds. The point is simple: Milwaukee is a clear favorite, but the market does not make it a lock against either opponent. What Is Our Take on the MLB Playoff Odds?
Our take: we are not recommending a ticket on this board today. Three plain reasons:
- The Brewers’ price is expensive. At -175 you risk $175 to win $100. The break-even win rate is 63.6%. Milwaukee has the best record in baseball, at 103-59, and just swept the Dodgers, but that is a lot of risk on a series that has not been set yet.
- The AL price is still moving. Cleveland is -190 to win the ALCS, with the series 2-1 and Game 4 a coin flip. The title price for each AL team will change once Game 4 is final, so wait for that number.
- Rested versus tested. The Brewers have until October 23 to rest, while the AL champion plays through at least Saturday. That may help Milwaukee, but we cannot verify how much, so we do not price it.
If you still bet, shop prices, write down your reason in one sentence, and keep the stake small enough that a loss does not change your week. Our MLB playoff betting guide covers postseason markets, our earlier World Series futures guide has the longer-term price history, and our MLB playoff odds guide was written before the championship round, so use this page for the current board.
Where Can You Bet MLB Playoff Odds?
U.S. states with legal sportsbooks post World Series and series prices. Offshore sportsbooks such as BetOnline and Bovada also offer MLB betting, and their prices can differ from the DraftKings numbers above. Offshore books are not licensed by U.S. state regulators, so read their terms, limits and payout rules before you deposit. Bet only money you can afford to lose. What Do Dodgers Fans Say About the Payroll Talk?
The Dodgers’ payroll draws criticism every October, and it came up again after Milwaukee’s sweep. One longtime fan, who asked to stay anonymous, shared this with us. It is one fan’s opinion. His attendance point checks out: Dodger Stadium drew 4,034,219 fans this season, the most in MLB (ESPN, Oct. 2026).
They’ll always complain about the payroll, but look at what the team brings in. More than 4 million fans come through the gates at Dodger Stadium every year, and that’s before the jerseys, caps, food, drinks and online merchandise. Why? Because the team put a championship on the field the last two years. We fell short this year, but the fans will be back next year for another run at a title.

How Do We Update This Page?
This is one permanent page for MLB playoff and World Series odds. We replace the odds, the status table and the charts in place instead of publishing a new page after every game. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when the numbers were copied. If that date is old, treat every price as stale.
