Caesars Horseshoe Lake Charles Hotel And Casino Is Finally Open

Caesars’ Horseshoe Lake Charles is located on a 110,000-square-foot site in Westlake and spans 60,000 square feet of casino space. Caesars’ Horseshoe Lake Charles finally opened on Monday, December, at noon. It has 850 slot machines, 253 hotel rooms, a WSOP Poker Room, and 40 table games.

Westlake Mayor Dan Racca announced that he would designate December 12 as “Horseshoe Day.” The launch day included a “special gift” for the first 2000 guests who visited the gaming venue. At 9 o’clock that night, fireworks were displayed over the lake as part of the inaugural festivities.

Nearly a thousand slot machines supplemented by 253 hotel rooms and a WSOP Poker Room thus created a steady rush of business for the casino. The new Caesars’ venue will introduce Gordon Ramsay, a world-renowned chef soon. They will also introduce his steakhouse to the tabletop gaming world in mid-2023.

In addition, the world’s premier land-based casino operator has plans to offer more dining options, including the acclaimed brewery, Brews Brothers, and Slice Pizzeria and Pasta shop. In 2023, the horizon includes the addition of a noodle restaurant and an ice cream parlor, along with a new Dunkin’ Donuts location.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic and the devastating effects of Hurricane Laura, the world-class resort kicks off as a beacon of hope and opportunity for the area. Though the changing economic landscape forced the closure of Isle of Capri in 2020, no one expected it would remain closed for nearly 3 years, as Anthony Carano, President of Caesars Entertainment, admits.

However, Jeff Favre, General Manager of Horseshoe Lake Charles, believes the gambling giant will return to its former glory, saying they’re pleased with their team and the effort they’ve put in to get the property operational. The all-new resort acknowledged the support from partners and the Lake Charles community, welcoming guests and casino enthusiasts to celebrate a tribute to the Isle of Capri and the coveted legacy of newly-founded Horseshoe Lake Charles.
