The best Stanley Cup odds bet tonight is Vegas Golden Knights +135 ML at Bovada. If you’re looking for Stanley cup game 2 predictions, there’s sharp value in backing the road team, a squad that’s won Game 2 on the road in each of their last two playoff series. Carolina’s the rightful home favorite after that sloppy Game 1 loss at Lenovo Center, but the market is overcorrecting on a Hurricanes team that coughed up five goals with Andersen looking shaky.

A betting odds comparison graphic for Stanley Cup Game 2 Predictions. It shows the Vegas Golden Knights with a +135 moneyline, +1.5 puck line, and over 6.0 total goals, compared to the Carolina Hurricanes with a -160 moneyline, -1.5 puck line, and under 6.0 total goals.

What Are the Stanley Cup Final Game 2 Odds?

Bovada opened Carolina at -155 and it’s ticked to -160. BetOnline has the Knights at +138 — slightly better juice for the dog side.

Why Is Vegas the Sharp Play in Game 2?

I ran our model Tuesday night and it spit out Carolina -130 implied. The market has -160. That gap is where the value lives, and it’s all on the Vegas side.

John Tortorella’s Golden Knights are 20-4-1 since he replaced Bruce Cassidy mid-season. Twenty and four. Torts brought the defensive structure this team was missing, and they’ve ridden it to a franchise-record 7-game playoff win streak.

Brett Howden has a playoff-leading 11 goals. Shea Theodore went 1G-2A in Game 1. Carter Hart stopped 23 of 27, and his 2.33 GAA / .920 SV% through 17 playoff starts tell you who he actually is. The goals that beat him in Game 1 were fluky deflections and net-front chaos — not breakdowns.

Should You Fade Carolina After That Game 1 Loss?

Not entirely. That’s the trap. Taylor Hall leads the Canes with 16 playoff points, and Svechnikov plus Aho were mostly ghosts in Game 1. When those two wake up? Different animal.

But here’s my hot take: Andersen’s Game 1 was worse than 18-for-23 suggests. He got beat on medium-danger shots a $7M goalie saves in his sleep. I watched that third period three times — he was fighting the puck on routine saves by the midway point. Traffic in front absolutely rattled him.

Carolina bounced back after losing Game 1 to Montreal in the ECF and ripped off four straight. The bounceback DNA is real. But that was Samuel Montembeault on the other end, not a Hart who’s playing the best hockey of his career.

What’s the DWZ Best Bet for Game 2?

Best Bet: Vegas Golden Knights +135 ML (Bovada) — Half-unit play. Our model has Vegas winning 46% of the time against an implied probability of 42.6%. That’s positive expected value, and we don’t leave +EV on the table.

Secondary: Over 5.5 goals (-115) — Game 1 went to nine. Books adjusted, but not enough. Both teams run up-tempo systems, and the Lenovo Center crowd is going to push Carolina into an aggressive first period. Gaps open when the Canes chase.

Prop: Dorofeyev Over 2.5 SOG (+108) — DWZ Edge Score: 7.2/10. He’s averaging 3.1 shots per game through three rounds. Carolina leaks shots from the right wing, and that’s exactly where Dorofeyev operates.

Pair Hall 1+ points (-104) with VGK ML for a degen mini parlay around +280. Hall has registered a point in 11 of his last 14. Absolute f*cking value.

Where Should You Bet This Game?

Offshore books have the best alt lines and live betting for NHL playoffs. Bovada’s moneylines are sharp, and their live platform for hockey was smooth all through Game 1 — I was placing in-play bets in under 10 seconds from my couch. BetOnline edges them on same-game parlays with better SGP payouts on 3+ legs.

Puck drops 8:00 PM ET at Lenovo Center, Raleigh NC. Bet responsibly — set a budget, stick to it, and never wager more than you can afford to lose. If gambling isn’t fun anymore, call 1-800-522-4700 or visit ncpgambling.org.
