Quick answer: To play craps, put a chip on the pass line and let the shooter roll. A 7 or 11 wins. A 2, 3 or 12 loses. Any other number becomes the point, and you win if the shooter rolls it again before a 7. The pass line costs you 1.41% of what you bet, one of the best deals in the casino.
- The pass line is the beginner bet. House edge is 1.41%. Don’t pass is slightly better at 1.36%, but you are betting against the table.
- Odds bets have a 0% house edge. They are the only bet in any casino with no built-in advantage for the house.
- Proposition bets are the trap. Any seven costs 16.67%. Hardways run 9.09% to 11.11%. Big 6 and Big 8 cost 9.09%.
- Online craps is one player and a random number generator. No shooter, no crowd, no dealer errors, and you set your own pace.
- Craps almost never counts toward a casino bonus. Super Slots and Bovada both weight it at 0%, so bonus play and craps do not mix.
